Staff at Nido Petroleum learned that hard work can be rewarding when they set out to clean up part of the South West Highway during Keep Australia Beautiful Week 2009.

Committing to cleaning up the stretch of highway from Fairbridge Farm to Pinjarra, the group soon realised the task was bigger than expected, when after four hours of hard work filling 25 bags with litter, they failed to reach their end goal.

Keep Australia Beautiful was impressed to hear from the group after their initial clean up and told that they were heading back to the spot to finish off the job.

Nido Petroleum's representative Yvonne Broome, said Nido was involved with multiple charity organisations and considers volunteering an important team building element of the workplace. “We love taking up a challenge like Keeping Australia Beautiful", she said.
