SCHOOLS KEEPING AUSTRALIA BEAUTIFUL

Learning About Litter, Keep Australia Beautiful’s free teachers resource, has been provided to more than 300 teachers across the state for use in the classroom.

The resource, which includes curriculum based activities and ideas for your school to become litter free, is available as a book and/or CD ROM.

Other school resources freely available from Keep Australia Beautiful are Oceans Full of Plastic : Marine debris education resource for WA schools (suitable for students in years 7 to 9) and The Protector - Landfill and You.

Many schools are also leading by example in their communities by nominating to Adopt-a-Spot and conduct clean-ups. Adopt-a-Spot is a great community service initiative, through which schools are supported and provided with resources to conduct regular cleanups.

Your school can make a difference and help us work towards a litter-free WA. Order your free copy of Learning About Litter or other schools resources online. (hyperlink to http://www.kabc.wa.gov.au/kab/schools/school-resources-order-form.html)

You can find out more about Adopt-a-Spot for your school, family or community group here. (hyperlink to http://www.kabc.wa.gov.au/programs/adopt-a-spot/index.html) .
